    AIRLINE PILOT’S TYPICAL CAREER PATH TO THE AIRLINES IN 3 STEPS

    STEP 1 – STUDY AND OBTAIN YOUR PILOT LICENSE ENROLL

    Become a licensed professional pilot after completing Ab-Initio. After passing the Civil Aviation Exam, you could also earn approximately 200 hours of flight time after completing this course.

    You could complete this course in twelve months of continuous study and training.

    STEP 2 – GAIN MORE FLIGHT HOURS AND EXPERIENCE

    To gain an edge in landing a job interview with Airline Companies, you will need at least 500 hours of flight experience. Below are some of the options to build up more flight hours.

    Should you opt to work with a foreign country (outside the country where you obtain your pilot license), In most cases, you may need to convert or apply for your license validation. The conversion process differs from one country to another.

    Below are some of the options to build up more flight hours.

    1. Be a Chartered Pilot for passenger flights
    2. Be a pilot for cargo flights
    3. Be a Private Pilot for Corporate Flights
    4. Become a Certified Flight Instructor and work in a flight school.

    Our school offers an opportunity to our qualified students to become one of our Certified Flight Instructors under the CFI Program. We have a course package that includes a Flight Instructor’s License course and a Multi-Engine Rating with an opportunity to be hired by our school to gain more flight hours while enjoying a salary at par with a regular Flight Instructor. We open slots every year.

    STEP 3 – JOIN THE AIRLINE & CLIMB THE RANKS

    AS AN AIRLINE FIRST OFFICER ( F.O. or JR. F.O.).

    This position is an entry-level position for an airline pilot. You will work and assist the Captain (Pilot-in-Command) while you gain more flying experience.

    The Salary Range is between USD$ 40,000 to $70,000 per annum with a lot of benefits.

     

    AS AN AIRLINE CAPTAIN

    This position is what every aspiring pilot aims to achieve. By being an Airline Captain, you take complete control and command of the aircraft entrusted to you by the Airline Company. Usually flies long-haul regional and international flights.

    Salary Range is between USD$60,000 to $90,000 per annum, including many perks and benefits.

     

    AS A SENIOR AIRLINE CAPTAIN.

    Usually takes complete control and command of bigger jets for long-haul regional flights.

    Salary Range is between USD$ 100,000 to $200,000 per annum, including many perks and benefits.
